Jim Mizaur, previous owner of the House Carpenters, is committed to the use of the highest quality materials and expert craftsmanship in the creation of homes of classic design. Timbers are carefully selected Douglas Fir, White Pine or Red Oak and frames are prepared in our shop. They are hand-planed and chamfered. The joinery is done in the 18th century fashion: mortise and tenon, dovetailed, and fastened throughout with oak pegs. A wide selection of frame decoration and finish is available. Our timber house frames are built individually to a set of plans tailored to the desires of our customers. Both new and antique timbers are available.
